Hi,  IMPORTANT: Please note that I will be traveling overseas for an extended period of time from 1/18 onward. If you do not send payment before 1/16, it may be necessary for me to cancel the auction.

INFO:  Wow! - This is an original Mono 2-sided studio master test lacquer of Starker's amazing performance of the Kodaly Sonata for Solo Cello (and the Dohnanyi cello concerto on Side B).  According to the label, recorded Oct. 5, 1958. Master number XAX 1355 and 1356. More info if you look at the pics closely.

CONDITION:  The lacquer has not been played very much and retains great deep black gloss. (It's actually a very dark purple color if held up to the light). I test played the Kodaly side (tracking at less than 1 gram), which has a few more marks than the Dohnanyi. It played VG+ throughout except for a few short areas that had some light to medium crackle due to a couple of surface marks, and one real needle mark (about 2 to 3mm long) at the very start of the side that clicks a few time. The Dohnanyi side looks VG+ easily.
