Description

Up for sale this week out of my Jawbreaker collection is the super rare and highly sought after Jawbreaker Demo #1 cassette from 1989. 


Hand-dubbed (on standard TDK D-90 cassettes) by the band way back in the day, less than 50 copies were made and handed out....and who knows how many survived over the years.


The condition is about what you'd expect from a cassette this old. The j-card is wrinkled and has a couple of tears along the folds. Edges are dinged up and slightly curled with a couple of corner folds.The case and cassette have the usual scuffing from play. Still has a good sound for a cassette demo.


The demo has 7 songs listed on the fold out sheet, but the cassette had 8 songs.

the unlisted 8th song is called "If I Could".

Songs 5 & 8 were sung by Chris with Blake on backup vocals. Its pretty interesting to hear....



A couple of these songs were remastered for the Etc. album, while the others have noticeable differences from the final release versions such as different intro's, lyrics, etc.


Very cool piece for any Jawbreaker collector.
