Description
Available here is an excellent copy of a wonderful, vintage jazz (4)-LP box set, in NM condition: "Ella Sings Gershwin" - released in 1978 on Verve/BOMC Records (80-5571). This LP also includes a full-size, 10-page booklet describing each song on the LP as well as the artists involved - Ella Fitzgerald and George & Ira Gershwin.
This amazing compilation features 53 great tracks in all. [The contents of this four-LP box are identical to the original 1959 five-record set of 53 songs.]. A couple of the recordings were made in 1947, but the other 51 were recorded between the years 1921-1938. Some of the fabulous songs from the Gershwin catalog included in this set are "Funny Face", I've Got a Crush on You", "'S Wonderful", "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off", and many, many more. Also includes full-size 10-page booklet, in excellent condition. Vinyl shows zero markings across the eight sides, NM condition. The box is in great condition, clean with hinge working perfectly. Paper liners with plastic center. All labels are clean and complete.
