Description
This is a 10 inch 78 rpm phonograph record. It is on the Okeh label, record number 4809. Record has two piano solos, one by Clay Custer, a pseudonym for George W Thomas, and Henry Lange; songs are The Rocks and Chopiano. The Rocks is believed to be the very first recording of a walking bass, or boogie woogie, although not all of the composition is boogie. Paving the way for meade Lux Lewis and others! A very interesting composition and a scarce jazz 78 from the Victrola era. Record plays very well, light wear, a few light scuffs and scratches. Doesn't quite look E but plays close to it.
