Found a couple more good jazz and blues 78rpm records that I am listing this week.   I will be giving both a visual grade and a listening report on each record.  All records played on a Gemini 6000 PDT turntable with a Stanton M78S pickup, a Vector Research VR-3000 amplifier/receiver, and early EPI-100 speakers.  I'm selling a brand new Gemini 6000 PDT turntable great for playing variable speed 78 records in a separate auction this week.  
Description:   This record has Jabbo Smith & His Rhythm Aces, on Brunswick 7087.  
Sides are:  A. Croonin' The Blues, & B. Lina Blues.  
Condition:  Both sides are about "V" visually and aurally.   A well worn but not wiped out disk.  Heavier wear at the start and finish, much better in the middle passages.  There's one edge chip, not to grooves.  One 2 inch scratch on "Croonin'" and a variety of other scuffs, rubs, scrapes, and greying.  Same report for "Lina" minus the longer scratch. Extra hole is drilled thru the label for some reason.  Surface noise on both sides competes for attention with the music on this record but there's still plenty to enjoy.  Disk plays flat and tracks through perfectly well.  No skips, cracks, or other defects/damage not noted.  
My grading is based on the following scale:  P, V, or E.  +/- and occasionally ++/--    P = unplayable, E = almost like new.  I've sold & shipped well over 100 78rpm  records on ebay over the years without a single complaint about condition or satisfaction.

In reply to a question about packing and shipping I gave a much more detailed answer as follows:  

I've packed and shipped well over 100 78rpm records in the dozen or so years I've been selling on ebay. Mostly classical records, which is my specialty, many of them quite valuable.  I've shipped within the U.S. and around the world.  I've also bought some records over the years, both from dealers and from ebayers.  From dealers I learned what proper packing means.  From non-dealer ebay sellers I learned what IMPROPER packing means.  
When I pack records I bind them snugly between multiple squares of stiff cardboard taped securely together so that nothing shifts around inside.  I also put them in paper or cardboard sleeves and/or put a square of paper towel between each record.  I do NOT put bubble wrap between records because that is asking for breakage.  Bubble wrap goes on the OUTSIDE of the bound record stack, around and around.  Then all of that surrounded by styrofoam peanuts.  
It is also important to use a big enough box, in my opinion, so that the record(s) will be nested safely in the middle with lot of cushion all around.   For a very valuable disk I would recommend double-boxing which would afford an extra measure of protection.  International buyers might not want double-boxing due to the extra bulk, weight, and thus cost of the package.  The buyer will decide.   
Insurance is also for each buyer to decide.   Of course the more valuable a record is, the more sense it makes to buy insurance for it, but I pack so that a buyer will NEVER have to try collecting on insurance.  A broken record means failure, disappointment, hassle, regret.  I've never had a broken record yet and I intend to keep it that way!   Hopefully this message will help reassure buyers how seriously I take the issue of packing 78rpm records for safe shipment.
