Description

Jazz Composers Orchestra          Communication        stereo       Dutch Fontana 881 011 ZY  foldout cover

John Tchicai, Jimmy Lyons (as), Steve Lacy (ss), Archie Shepp (ts), Roswell Rudd (tb), Paul Bley (p), Eddie Gomez, Steve Swallow (b) Milford Graves, Barry Altschul (d) ETC. Rec. 1965

The record looks and plays VG++.  No scratches. Each side has a small, app. 1/8 inch diameter, circular pressing defect about halfway through.  On Side 1, it thumps lightly, well below the level of the music three times.  On Side 2, it thumps lightly, well below the level of the music app. 7 times.  The rest of the record plays very near M-.  The grooves are bright and glossy and look little played.

The cover is VG++. The front and back covers are very bright and glossy.  The front has some wear visible on the bottom seam.  The back has a hint of ring wear and a spot of staining or fading at the bottom. Small spots of wear on the corners and some denting at the top of the spine.  Inside the foldout is bright and clean and looks great.  No seam splits.  Spine is intact.

Black lines that might be visible at bottom left and top right in pictures are due to photo cropping and not on record.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.

I WILL NOT END AUCTIONS EARLY.  PLEASE DO NOT ASK.
