Description

This is a rare 1956 Savoy release (MG-12059) entitled "Jazz Composers Workshop #2."  These recordings feature Charlie Mingus, Wally Cirillo, Teo Macero, John LaPorta, George Barrow, and Mal Waldron

As you can see, both the cover and the labels have been stamped "SAMPLE COPY NOT FOR SALE" which makes this a bit rarer than the standard version.

Vinyl is stunning with great shine.  Flawless playing surfaces with no marks, scuffs, or scratches.  The only exception is a tiny factory bubble that creates a few minor ticks on song 2 of side A.  Very nice deep groove mono sound with absolutely no other pops, ticks, or skips.  Essentially no surface noise.  STRONG VG+

The cover displays very well.  There is a full top seam split.  some discoloration and paper loss on the bottom of the back cover likely due to water exposure long ago.
