Description

Charles Mingus, Dynasty, on Columbia 1440.  Beautiful promo copy, with "Demonstration Record--Not for Sale" printed on the labels and stamped in red on the back cover.  Stunning vinyl, Side 1 VG++ with only couple of light scuffs that make no sound, and Side 2 pristine M-.   Superb cover, with a little wear to the edges near the corners, but very tight and clean.

Note that I am currently selling a superb collection consisting heavily of mid-century jazz and vocalists.  These records were kept in magnificent shape by their owner, so check my other auctions now and over the coming weeks.


GRADING

M-  A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.

VG++  Superb record, full gloss with a few superficial marks that do not sound.

VG+  Full gloss,  light marks or scuffs, but an attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.

VG   More marks and scratches, but still a decent record.  Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light. 

VG-  Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.  Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.

G+ and G  Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.

SHIPPING

U.S. Media Mail shipping is $4 for the first record plus $1 for each additional. 

 

Overseas Air Mail is $14 for the first record plus $4 for each additional record.


I pack LPs in professional mailers, with the disk in its paper sleeve outside the cover and both disk and cover housed in a three-mil plastic sleeve.
