Description
Prestige Records #7107, Curtis Fuller “New Trombone”. With Detroiters Sonny Red Kyner, Hank Jones, Doug Watkins, and Louis Hayes. Laminated jacket front looks real good, just light superficial wear. Back has light wear, a couple tiny stains, tiny word ‘jazz’ stamp. 50th St labels have a name on one side. RVG stamped vinyl plays quite noisily, moderate crackle on most of the record. Side 2 starts with a couple louder pops, and has a stick (repeating backwards skip) in the waning seconds of the last cut. Still acceptable if you’ve been looking for this record. Vinyl condition G+/VG-.
See my other auctions for jazz, including some rare jazz, LPs.
Gradings:
M : Mint ( I never say mint, bogue, stone fox or “holy grail”).
NM: Near Mint, Very clean, maybe some very light marks but sound is like new.
VG++: Very glossy, any scratches or marks will be very light and barely affecting play.
VG+: Still glossy, possibly some light crackle, some fine lines, still plays well.
VG: Used record, some crackle, no loud pops or skips; plays ok.
VG- : Some loud crackle, pops, a skip, probably not much gloss left.
Please wait for invoice before paying. I’ll send them out on by May 2nd.
All records cleaned on a VPI with Disc Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner.
International buyers must pay for tracking on purchases of $250 or more. This is for your protection and mine. Any tracking fees over and above $50 I will pay (ie, the most you will pay for tracking (in addition to normal shipping fees) is $50). If you have questions, please ask me.
