Offered for sale here is a fantastic example of a rare jazz LP Somethin' Else (Blue Note BLP 1595 MONO, circa 1959). This classic album features the fantastic combo of Cannonball Adderley, Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones, and Art Blakely. The points of this example correspond to the circa 1959 mono release. Dead wax codes are: (Side 1) BN-LP-1595 A-2 etched with RVG stamped, (Side 2) BN-LP-1595 -B and 9M etched, and RVG stamped;both sides have the Plastylite "ear" logo" (a bit more faint on Side 1). Has original inner sleeve advertising all sorts of classic jazz albums, with the title "Blue Note: The Finest in Jazz Since 1939"
Condition: Disc is in fantastic shape, both sides glossy and appearing barely played. Side 1 has an area of faint scuffs of about 1 in, and a very light scratch of about 2 in, barely noticeable. Side 2 has very little noticeable wear, except for a couple nicks on the innermost track one about 4mm, the other about 8mm, and a bit of scattered 'haziness'...I would not describe it as scuffing. Cover has bright graphics, mild handling wear, light corner bumps and one at the bottom edge, several 'bubbles' where the lamination has separated a bit. Inner sleeve in great shape, bright white with mild handling wear. Labels are in great shape, very little wear visible.
You'll be hard pressed to find such a nice disc for this classic LP anywhere else. Would make a great gift or addition to your collection.
Record will be packed with great care and include an archival poly sleeve.
