Description

Cool Struttin' by Sonny Clark on Blue Note 1588.  Mono original, W. 63rd labels, RVG, ear, deep groove.  Side 1 is VG- with full shine and a lot of very light scratches, including a couple that can be felt with a fingernail.  The music is vibrant, clear, and way up front, but there is some audible ticking in the background.  Side 2 is weak VG, also with a lot of very light scratches, but without any that can be felt with a fingernail.  Its fidelity is also outstanding, and the backgound noises are less frequent and a bit quieter than those on Side 1.  On both sides the music sounds fabulous and is definitely front and center, but this is not a disk for those who require vinyl perfection.  The front cover is superb, rear cover shows some light aging and has a name and address stamp on it.  Bottom edge has a 1/8-inch seam split.

GRADING
M-  A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.
VG+  Full gloss, a few light marks.  A very, very attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.
VG   More marks and scratches, but still a nice record.  Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.
VG-  Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.  Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.
G+ and G  Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
