Description
This is the 1957 Pressing (second press) of At The Cafe Bohemia Volume 2 - Art Blakey & The Messengers. My two cents, but definitely better than Volume 1. The vinyl is in excellent shape with fair luster; overall a VG with conservative grading.
From Discogs:
The 2nd pressing
- Deep grooved blue/white Blue Note Records labels. 767 Lexington Ave N.Y.C. address on the A side; 47 West 63rd - New York 23 on the B side;
- RVG etched and "P" (otherwise wrongly called "ear") for Plastylite etched in the trail off, both sides;
- Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address on back cover;
- Blank spine on cover
Side 1 has some light surface noise that does not distract from the music. You will hear one pop from a 1" scratch that is the only defect on this vinyl. In hard light and play-graded, a VG.
Side 2 plays very well, close to a VG+, with minimal surface noise.
The cover is VG. Normal shelf wear at the edges, spine strong and intact, some peeling but no split seams. Major defect is a ballpoint writing "Bad" on the back cover, but see my two cents above. Surprisingly almost no ring wear, please refer to the photos.
I sell all of my records on discogs, but for a faster sale I am opening here at a low bid. I clean all records before shipping. I include a static-free plastic inner sleeve, however I am also including the original inner sleeve with this purchase. Ships next day from Brooklyn NY.
