Jazz News and Review 9 Jan 1963 Rolling Stones Early Advert Manfred Mann
Incredible Magazine with a quarter page advert for the rolling stones advertising their weekly gigs. There are also mentions for a band called Blues by Six who apparently after Charlie watts left became blues by Five. There is also a smaller advert for the stones backing the Cyril Davies R&B All Stars at the Marquee. Also mentions for Manfred mann, alexis korner playing live sets and an incredible advert giving details on how you have employ Manfred manne for tuition.
This Magazine features multiple articles and references to the jazz greats. At this time Jazz Clubs were pretty much the only venues to play music at in london so as the new R&B bands started to come through Jazz News magazine kept a watchful eye on the progress and reported it in their magazine. In some of these magazines you can see history being made.
