Description
Here's a special find, if not rare, limited issue album. You're bidding on a 70-year-old 10" 33 LP by 1950s Scottish jazz trumpeter sensation Jimmy Deuchar. This is an original 1953 album (D-6137), issued on the Discovery International Jazz Label based in New York. It's entitled "New Sound From England" Jimmy Deuchar Showcase.
This was Deuchar's first of many record albums Jimmy recorded during his illustrious career. Playing on his debut album are British favorites Don Randell tenor, Dill Jones piano, Derek Humble alto, Sammy Stokes bass and Phil Seaman drums.
Of special note, Deuchar was also a member of The Ronnie Scott Sextet and was in popular demand often playing London's famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. He was billed as one of England's top jazz trumpeters.
The album cover shows its age and top and bottom seams are split. The record itself has scuffs and light scratches but still sounds good. Overall rating is good.
