Description
Vintage jazz lp: ERIC DOLPHY At the Five Spot, Volume 2 - the original mono Prestige pressing, PRLP 7294, yellow label, deep groove, "VAN GELDER" stamped in the deadwax; etched in the deadwax is (A side) NJLP 8288 - A / PRLP 7294-A; (B-side) NJLP 8288 - B / PRLP 7294-B. Released in 1961. The labels and the back cover both have the Bergenfield, NJ address. Personnel includes Eric Dolphy, Booker Little, Mal Waldron, Richard Davis, and Eddie Blackwell.
Condition is Good+/Good; TEST PLAYED and sounds VG+ (though the vinyl has moderate scuffing and many soft hairlines, a couple of which I can just barely feel, I have just played both sides all the way through and there are no skips, and not only that but it plays VG or better overall with some soft background noise and pops - still enjoyable; the labels have some very light rubbing and very light spindle marks; the jacket cover is still bright and pretty attractive, though there is some spotting beneath the coating along the bottom of the cover image, the bottom-right corner is chipped, other corners rubbed; back cover has water spotting to the bottom quarter with corner chip and some rubbing in that area; slightly musty smell; spine has 1/4-inch scars at top and bottom but otherwise very clean with no splitting; top seam has 3-inch split with heavy rubbing at the left side and a half inch of the same at far right; bottom seam has 1.5-inch split to the end with corner chipping, a half-inch split near the center, and several small scars).
