Description

His painting recently sold for a whopping $110.5 MILLION (or $22,486.40 per square inch)! Get this for a fraction of that.

In 1983 Jean Michel Basquiat became friendly with the punk rock group "The Offs." He wanted to play in the band, but was not good enough. Instead he did a drawing for The Off's first record album cover and was paid $500 for his effort. Andy Warhol, who was friendly with the group's producer, arranged for Interview Magazine music critic Glenn O'Brien to write up a review of The Offs. O'Brien's review credits Basquiat with creating the album cover. Another impression of this now historic print was exhibited in New Museum show of album covers. This cover artwork was also part of the exhibitions "Vinyl - Records and Covers by Artists" in 2005 in Bremen - Germany - Neues Museum Weserburg Bremen, in 2006 in Barcelona - Spain, and 2007 in Porto - Portugal.
