Description
I am selling a very rare, original 1968 UK Stereo 1st pressing of ‘TRUTH’ by Jeff Beck on the rare blue/black Columbia labels with first press matrix, laminate, flip back sleeve. This is very difficult to find and, as always, I I will provide an honest assessment of the condition of the album and the cover. My only frustration is that , over the decades, I have mislaid the original inner sleeve as I have replaced most of my sleeves with modern, protective sleeves to look after the vinyl.
As I am the original owner of this album it has been stored correctly and played on the the best equipment I could afford, with particular emphasis on the quality of the cartridges, at all times. The cover is still in excellent condition with only a few minor creases on the left edge. The spine is undamaged and there are no markings or damage on the flipback cover. There is no visible spindle wear on the record.
This is the original Black/Blue/Silver Columbia label with The Gramophone Co. Ltd outer rim text. On the rear sleeve 6811 TPS Printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd. Patents Pending CX 6293 SCX 6293. Not to be confused with the very similar ‘Jeff Beck-Truth’ that has a different printing code 6811.

Very rare original 1968 UK Stereo 1st pressing of ‘Truth’ by Jeff Beck with first press matrix with laminated, flip back sleeve. As always I have play graded the the whole album and apart from a few minor clicks on ‘You Shook Me’ and some slight surface noise at the start of ‘Ol’ Man River’ I am happy to classify the album as EX. It is in the interest of the buyer and seller to ensure accurate information, based on factual evidence and provenance, as well as researching a full history of each album from trusted sources. This album, along with the other classic ‘Beck-Ola’, shows the brilliance of Jeff Beck’s unique playing style and the start of stellar careers for Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood.
