Label - Columbia SX 6293 MONO uk 1st press
Year - 1968
Condition - VG+ - generally a very good condition record with only a couple of minor marks and scuffs which does not affect ther audio. The record does have a bit of crackling throughout especially on the quieter moment (but apart from 'Greensleeves' there are not many quiet moments). This is a rare first press with the mother/stamper marks on the dead wax at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock to confirm such an early pressing.
Cover condition - VG - Laminated flipback sleeve with a sign of ring wear and signs of cracking down the spine side. Spine reads fine. Unlaminated rear a bit discoloured and grubby with age.
Matrix Numbers: XAX 3706-1 (XAX 3606-1 has been crossed out) XAX 3707-1(3607 crossed out)
Both the blue Columbia labels display the correct 'sold in uk.' and 'the Gramophone.' statements to confirm this being a true first press.
Guests on the record include Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones pre Led Zep
Record is a brilliant example of 60s progressive blues rock.
