Electric Light Orchestra / Jeff Lynne's ELO - From Out Of Nowhere (LTD Opaque Blue Vinyl)
Strictly limited indie store edition on opaque blue vinyl!
In 2015 Jeff Lynne made a brilliant comeback with his legendary formation ELO: the album Alone In The Universe ended a 14-year release break, entered the Official German Charts in seventh place and the British Charts in fourth place. In the following years the band went on several sold-out tours through Europe and America and was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. On the 1st November, From Out Of Nowhere, a brand new album is released.
With his songs, the 71-year-old has touched and shaped three generations of music fans - after a break of several years, he had impressively returned as a songwriter, musician and producer in recent years. The title song is also the album opener and takes the listener once more into the wonderful ELO world, which comprises ten songs. The track listing includes the wistful Help Yourself ", the solemn Down Came The Rain", the rock number One More Time "(with a solo by pianist Richard Tandy) and the magical closing song Songbird".
Like its predecessor Alone In The Universe (2015), Lynne on From Out Of Nowhere once again succeeds in opening up new facets as part of its legendary signature sound, continuing its musical heritage, which is loved all over the world, and breaking new ground in sound and yet emotionally. Again he plays almost every note himself, from guitars and basses to piano, drums and keyboards to vibraphone, and he also sings all lead and polyphonic harmony vocals. Steve Jay, who assisted Lynne as engineer with the recordings, contributed some percussion parts.
