Description

Double LP of The classic and iconic album "War of The Worlds” by Jeff Wayne - released  on the CBS  label - Catalogue number CBS 82571. Circa 1978.Guest contributors include David Essex,Richard Burton,Phil Lynott,Justin Hayward and more.

The albums outer gatefold sleeve is well preserved for its age – almost 40 years  and presents in a nice clean  condition . No writing, rips or tears. The spine is good and there is only minimal signs of wear on the sleeves outer edges – consistent with storage over the years, the inner sleeve on the gatefold is still good and clean opening up nicely.

Both inner sleeves are present and are the standard white factory pressed.(please see photo's)

 

The vinyl’s all  present with a nice glossy sheene on all four sides and the labels are clean in their appearance..(Please see photo's), there are several light and random surface marks on both sides of the LP’s that appear to be consistent with sleeve insertion/removal,more specifically,

Side one: Has been played and there are no issues of concern – sound reproduction is good – very good, no jumping and minimal crackling on quiter sections of music.

Side two: As above

Side three:As above.

Side four: As above.

 I have viewed the vinyl under bright lighting conditions in order to best comment on the quality of the vinyl. It is good,as I have said, the sound reproduction is very good and there are no sections where the vinyl skips or jumps (although this could vary from one turn table to another depending upon stylus quality/condition)
