Description
This is a very Early Pressing of this unique packaging LP by virtue of the FLEXI-DISK STYLE PRESSING (Very thin RCA trademark of the 69-71 era ) on GRUNT records ( RCA) and the inclusion of all the original inserts ( which typically fall off by the time the third or fourth pressing come around) . Flexi-disc style pressing was not well received by audiophiles , but is consistent with the release date of this "Pretty As You FeeL" LP title BARK and is thereby the most desirable in so far as being a very early pressing . The vinyl plays beautifully , and is very quiet indeed in the quieter passages but has mylar type marks ,I assume, from being preserved in a MHS ( Musical Heritage Society ) Type Mylar lined sleeve. These marks are visible directly under light but do not effect play . The most visible of them is photographed in picture #4 . They only show up in photos set up just for that purpose . most photos don't show them at all but there are other less pronounced ones on both sides of the LP .They don't effect play. Included with the inserts is the original LP sleeve reminiscent of the old RCA brown paper sleeves from the 40's or 50's which was replaced with the very MHS style lined sleeve that .in theory, caused these marks, but prevented any scratches . PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS and know please that I grade conservatively on the GOLDMINE SYSTEM This LP Grades VG on Vinyl VISUALLY / But VG+ or better audibly VINYL VISUAL: VG VINYL PLAY : VG+ or better COVER : NM- JA BAG : VG+ or better INSERTS : NM-
Over All VERY NICE I will remove LP from cover and pack them together snugly in a mailer to preserve the edges of the cover
