Grading Standards

SS = Still Sealed

NM+ =Unplayed condition. Cover is nice and new looking with no ring wear. Vinyl is flawless with a glossy sheen.

NM = Only slight signs of wear; very clean, possible light surface marks which will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also may have only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.

VG+ = Played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise - still plays well. Cover may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.

VG = Overall wear, including scratches on both sides but no serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover is worn, usually with shelf and ring wear.

G = Heavy wear on record and cover. Cover with split seams and heavy ring wear. Record with possible skips and/or heavy scratches and surface noise. 

Due to scammers who make false claims of defects in hopes to exchange their damaged discs for better ones, we DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. Please ask all questions up front. All Records ship in bubble wrap.  33's and 78's will come packaged in record boxes that measure 12.5 x 12.5 square and are specifically designed for shipping albums. 45 rpms will come packaged between cardboard dividers and secured in envelope style mailers. MATRIX Stamp in the dead wax on side 1 -"TPRM -0171-11S" - and "1V"

MATRIX Stamp in the dead wax on side 2 is -"TPRM -0172-2S" and "1"

-THIS IS THE FIRST PRESSING WITH THE BANNED/REMOVED LYRICS-

 "questionable" lyrics remain in the song Let me In the lyric is "Don't tell me you want money" and

in Run Around the lyric is "that sway as you lay under me". These lyrics were changed on later pressings.

Condition 

Cover is VG++ in opened factory shrink! LP is VG+ with slight surface marks that do not detract significantly from the sound, includes original inner sleeve

The factory shrink wrap is peeling a bit but has done it's job over the years and protected this wonderful cover!

Jefferson Airplane Takes Off is the debut album of San Francisco rock band Jefferson Airplane, released on RCA Victor Records in 1966. The personnel differ from the later "classic" lineup and the music is more folk-rock than the harder psychedelic sound for which the band later became famous. Signe Toly Anderson was the female vocalist whilst Skip Spence played drums. Both left the group shortly after the album's release and were replaced by Grace Slick and Spencer Dryden respectively.

Bidding: If you have excessive negative feedback please contact me prior to bidding to see if it’s okay to bid. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation of your bids.

Combined Shipping: I do offer a combined shipping discount for items won/purchased within a 5 day period. You must wait until you receive a combined invoice before submitting payment as I will need to revise your shipping charges. Shipping charges are calculated based upon the total weight of all of your items combined. The items that you have won/purchased must be paid for together in one payment. Once you have paid, no other auctions can be added to your order so please do not complete the checkout process until you have finished making your purchases during a five day period. I do not combine shipping for items that are paid for separately.

Payment Terms: The only form of payment that I accept is PayPal. Payment is due by the 5th day from the auction’s end. All combined auctions must be paid for by the 5th day of the FIRST auction won to receive a combined shipping discount. There is no exception to this rule. If payment is not received by the 5th day I will contact eBay and the item/s will be re-listed or a second chance offer given to the next highest bidder/s.

Handling Fee: I do charge a handling fee which equates to a couple of dollars. By no stretch of the imagination could this be considered a profit. It barely covers the costs associated with packing materials and gasoline to the post office.

Domestic Shipping: Whenever possible I ship via Media Mail as this is the cheapest way to go. Items that can not be shipped via Media Mail will be shipped via Parcel Post unless otherwise stated.   

You will be notified via e-mail once your item/s has been shipped. I ship via the United States Postal Service within 24 – 48 hours of receipt of payment during normal business days. However, I am not employed there so……

Domestic Shipping Insurance: Under no circumstances will I be held responsible for any loss or damage during shipment. I offer optional shipping insurance on all of the items I sell and highly encourage all buyers to protect their purchase. Confucius says Stuff Happens.  

International Shipping: For international shipping, First Class International Mail is the cheapest way to go. However, due to weight restrictions on First Class anything over four pounds must be shipped via Priority Mail International. Please contact me prior to bidding for a shipping quote as prices vary by location. International buyers will also be responsible for any applicable duties and/or customs fees associated with their purchase.

The shipping price quoted in the auction is applicable to the United States only.

International Shipping Insurance: Under no circumstances will I be held responsible for any loss or damage during shipment. International insurance is not offered on packages shipped via First Class International Mail. It is however, offered on packages shipped via Priority Mail International. I highly encourage all buyers to protect their purchase with insurance so please keep this in mind when choosing which shipping option you prefer. Once the package leaves my hands at the Post Office I assume no further liability.    

Non-Paying Bidders: I do not tolerate non-paying bidders for any reason. If payment is not received within five days of the auction’s end I will file a non-paying bidder report with eBay and I will not leave positive feedback. So basically, if you do not intend to pay, please do not bid!

Refunds/Returns: Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding as I do not accept refunds or returns of any kind. All items are sold as-is. I will do my best to describe each item as I see it but if you feel that I have missed something that may be important to you please feel free to ask. I respond to all of my e-mails very quickly. If you would like additional photos I would be more than happy to provide those to you as well.
