Welcome...This is an extremely rare "stereo" vinyl record by Jefferson Airplane recorded in 1966 on the RCA Victor label, catalog # LSP-3584
What makes this album so rare is that it was withdrawn from sale to the public very soon after release. This LP has the original 12 songs that were pressed in both mono and stereo in 1966. It is a stereo (version 1) out of 3 versions.
The second pressing, (version 2) also released in 1966 in both mono and stereo was released without the 6th track on side 1 entitled "Runnin' Round This World" leaving the record with only 11 tracks. This version along with version 1 included some lyrics on other tracks that were later deemed unworthy for public listening which you can read from the record guide pictured in the last photo. This brings us to version 3.
(Version 3), also released in both mono and stereo has been stripped of the song "Runnin' Round This World" as version 2 was, and the questionable lyrics that remained on version 2 have been replaced with less sexual lyrics. It's amazing what they thought was risque in 1966.
Anyway...What is up for grabs here is the rarest of all versions....version 1 (stereo) with the extra song (12 tracks) and the unedited lyrics! This album is listed in the latest 2015 Goldmine Record Price Guide...see last picture. My starting price is a fraction of the book value with no reserve!
Condition: Vinyl has been play graded using headphones and is in excellent condition. Side 1 is close to near mint with the very slightest audible noise between tracks only. It does in fact have 6 tracks on side 1.
Side 2 has some light static within the first 40 seconds of the first track and a little bit between tracks giving it a VG++ grade. There are no ticks, pops, snaps or crackles. This is a great listen in stereo and the vinyl sounds better than it looks!
Condition: Cover is in VG+ condition but has a split about 5.5 inches in the middle of the top seem and a split about an inch near the mouth. These could be repaired pretty easily. The bottom seem in nice with no issues and the spine is in great shape and the print is highly visible. There is slight yellowing to the back from age but nothing bad. There is some loose paper on the top left corner on the back, (see pics). This is obviously a revised cover that does not list the 6th track on side 1 but it is the cover that came with this LP.

Shipping will be via priority mail with insurance and will be shipped with the record removed from the cover and packaged in a special oversized premium heavy duty cardboard record mailer to prevent any damage.
