Description

This was recorded by the Peppers in Camden, New Jersey on 9th and 12th July 1929. This is a nice record , without any greying but with some light needle wear apparent (a bit more Side B),  minor scrapes and scuffs (more Side B); a slightly pimply pressing and a couple of light needle scrapes; none of this really affects play.  There is a well stabilised hair-crack that ticks lightly at the start of each side but does not intrude on the music ( see photos) . The record plays well at about E-, loud and clear with low noise and good fidelity. These rarer Jelly Roll Victors are becoming increasingly hard to find; often there are none on e bay, except the common records This is a good disc that plays very well until the mythical E+++ glossy, un-played record comes along (at a very high price!).
