Jennifer "Jen" Wood (born c. 1976) is an American indie rock musician based in Seattle, Washington. A solo artist since 1996, she was previously a member of alternative rock band Tattle Tale.
In 1992, at the age of fifteen, Wood formed Tattle Tale with school friend Madigan Shive. The band released two albums, Tattle Tale in 1993 and Sew True in 1995. Their song "Glass Vase Cello Case" featured in the 1999 film But I'm a Cheerleader by Jamie Babbit.
In 1996, after the breakup of Tattle Tale, Wood went to Santa Cruz, California and recorded a number of songs which she released as No More Wading.
After recording Getting Past the Static, she moved back to Seattle.
In 2002, she appeared as a guest vocalist on the collaborative effort The Postal Service, providing the female vocals for the duet "Nothing Better". On July 18, 2013, she performed this song live for the first time at the KeyArena with The Postal Service. She has also collaborated vocally with The Black Heart Procession and Joan of Arc, to name a few.
Her second full length album, Finds You in Love (New Granada Records) was released on September 14, 2010 to critical acclaim.
On October 14, 2014, Wood released her third full length album, "Wilderness".
Tim Kinsella (born October 22, 1974) is a musician from Chicago, Illinois. He has been a member of many bands, including Cap'n Jazz,[1] the Sky Corvair, Joan of Arc, Owls, Friend/Enemy, Everyoned, and Make Believe, and worked with a variety of musicians, from Marvin Tate and Leroy Bach to Angel Olsen and many more. He has also recorded solo material, some of it under the name Tim Kinsella(s).
Kinsella is known for his eccentric singing voice, and bartends at the Rainbo Club in Chicago's Ukrainian Village neighborhood. His brother Mike Kinsella refers to his bartending in the song "Breaking Away" on Owen's (The EP) (2004).
Tim Kinsella is the writer-director of the feature film Orchard Vale, which opened at the Chicago Underground Film Festival on August 15, 2007, and his first novel, entitled The Karaoke Singer's Guide to Self-Defense, was published by Featherproof Books in September 2011 (Eric Lutz of Newcity wrote, "Most of the time, it’s gripping. On a number of occasions, it’s shit-your-pants brilliant"). His second novel, Let Go and Go On and On (Curbside Splendor Publishing), which takes its inspiration from the late actress Laurie Bird's brief film career in the '70s, followed in April 2014.
