Description
On original red vinyl, Sage Records, catalog C-26 from 1962.
Includes timeless songs such as, "My Dog, My Everything," "My Heart's A Lonely Ghost Town," and "Prairie Fire." I played the entire record and there are no skips, though there is surface noise in the form of crackles and pops that you can hear during the songs. The cover is still in plastic and in near-mint condition.
From Wikipedia: "After his contract with Capitol was up Carman recorded an album for the small Sage & Sand label called "The Ole Indian" the cover of which showed Carman in an Indian headdress. For the rest of the 1950s he returned to appearing on radio and television in California including regular guest spots on "Cal's Corral" hosted by used car salesman Cal Worthington. By the mid-1960s Carman returned to Kentucky where he continued to make television and radio appearances until his death aged 64. James Lien has written that Carman "may have been country music's Andy Kaufman."
