Description

Here is an awesome album for anyone remotely interested in the songwriting of Leonard Cohen. This is Jennifer Warnes with her 1986 landmark album Famous Blue Raincoat: The Songs Of Leonard Cohen. The album finds Warnes (previously a back up singer for Cohen in the 70s) tackling LC classics as well as a few new compositions and collaborations. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robben Ford lend their guitar talents to these recordings. The album helped Cohen emerge from a bit of a mid 80s slump as well as it helped Warnes remove herself from constant Linda Ronstadt comparisons. This copy is in pristine shape (a Carollton pressing for the knowledgeable collector) and it even contains the original shrink wrap and price sticker. The inner sleeve contains lyrics and credits. This will be packed and shipped with care.
