Description

7" 45 rpm metal-based two-sided acetate disc with plain type-written labels
Disc contains two rough, unfinished demo recordings of soul legend Jerry Butler singing with a rhythm section, interacting with the musicians and a producer in the booth. Motherless Child would be released in finished form on Butler's 1963 Vee Jay LP Folk Songs. Pretty Little Girl apparently wasn't released under that title.
Item comes from the estate of a sound engineer living in a Chicago suburb.
