Without his partner Tom Graph (Art Garfunkel) Paul Simon issues this bit of liquid stool in 1962, thinking if he can't be a blond haired, blue eyed teen pop star, he could at least have the sound and NAME of one... I never understood why Paul Simon even changed his name, probably because Art had to and he felt bad? He also is very big on asserting his identity on this 45, dropping his own fake name no less than FOUR times on the same 45... we GET IT, you're pretending to be JERRY LANDIS, singer, writer, producer and publisher/SUPER TALENTED ARYAN GOLDEN BOY/SHILL! In any case, it's hard to believe this was 2 short years away from the truly cool folk ballads that challenged the minds of the mid 60s and made these guys famous... and that two years previous they were still cranking out these steamers which were just terrible and highly derivative... so why buy it? Blackmail? It's very rare and hardly ever comes up for auction. Most are promos, but someone actually bought this!
