Sean Callery’s (Homeland, Bones, 24) score for Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season One took the tonal shift from gritty ground level action to noir. Everything you need to know can be found in “Jessica Jones Main Title” (2016 Emmy® Award winner for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music) with its mix of late night, street corner Jazz consumed by pulsating rhythms and a wailing guitar that creates a musical dichotomy thematically appropriate to the narrative of our titular hero.

The first season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones season follows the story of the eponymous, super-powered private detective confronting and defeating Kilgrave, a serial rapist and murderer who had once used his mind control powers to force her to serve as his lover and companion. The major players of her supporting cast included Trish Walker, her foster sister; Malcolm Ducasse, her neighbour; Will Simpson, a police officer-turned-ally; Jeryn Hogarth, a lawyer who sometimes hired Jessica for her investigative skills; and Luke Cage, another budding vigilante.
