20 Years of Jethro Tull - The Definitive Collection
(1988) Chrysalis V5X-41653
A 5 LP Box Set with a 24 Page Booklet (65 Tracks)
I purchased this Jethro Tull Box Set in Middletown, New York the same day of it's release. Jethro Tull is, and always will be, my favorite band. I remember waiting in anxious anticipation for the day to arrive. It did not disappoint. The Box Set is a wonderful archive of the first two decades of this fantastic band. It is filled with classic and lesser known material, including my favorite rare track '17'. It is beautifully packaged. The 24- Page Booklet is filled with 'all things Tull'. It was so nice that I purchased two more, one as a gift for a friend and fellow Tull fan, and one extra to keep in my record vault.
VINYL ranges from Excellent to Excellent+. Some light, hair-like scratches/scuffs appear on the five records. Not many and very faint. None of these effect play or sound quality. A few of the 10 sides are very close to near mint, but not quite. All five records have fantastic shines and clean labels. All five original inner sleeves are intact and in excellent condition.
BOX is Excellent+. Both front and back maintain a gloss. No broken or split corners. Vibrant colors. It has a touch of wear on a few edges and a light scratch on the back, as seen in the picture above. The 24 page Booklet is also in Excellent condition.
This nearly thirty year- old release was well taken care of and remains a wonderful collectible for the avid Jethro Tull fan.
I wouldn't suggest that you 'sit this one out'.
