(Click to Enlarge) Description Attention all Record lovers: Thanks for looking at my auction. I used to own a record store but I hate grading old records. I hate grading records because no one seems to agree on condition. One person's idea of "VG" is someone else's idea of "poor". And some needles seem to skip on some records while others do not. I will do my best to describe the condition of these records and I will grade them as best I can by VISUALLY inspecting them, but PLEASE email if you have ANY questions BEFORE bidding. If I can answer your question, I will. Because I have not listened to all of the records I list, I probably can't tell you for sure how much surface noise they may have (subjective anyway) or if there is a hidden skip. I have been selling on Ebay for 5 years and sold over 10,000 items. My feedback should give you confidence. I want my customers to be happy! With that in mind,
ALL OF MY RECORDS ARE BEING SOLD "AS-IS", NO RETURNS.
I will do my best to VISUALLY grade according to the chart below . Please read all the info below before bidding on my auctions. good luck, happy bidding!

DCC 180+ gram Virgin Vinyl Analogue pressing, US mono (LPZ-2030)
Limited Edition # 0120
OUT OF PRINT (OOP). Issued on 180 GRAM vinyl by DCC. ReMastered by Steve Hoffman.
Jethro Tull: Ian Anderson (vocals, acoustic guitar, flute); Martin Barre (guitar, descant recorder); Jeffrey Hammond (alto recorder, bass, background vocals); John Evan (piano, organ, Mellotron); Clive Bunker (drums, percussion). Recorded at Island Studios, London, England. Originally released as Reprise (2035).
The leap from 1970's BENEFIT to the following year's AQUALUNG is one of the most astonishing progressions in rock history. In the space of one album, Tull went from relatively unassuming electrified folk-rock to larger-than-life conceptual rock full of sophisticated compositions and complex, intellectual lyrical constructs. While the leap to full-blown prog-rock wouldn't be taken until a year later on THICK AS A BRICK, the degree to which Tull upped the ante here is remarkable. The lyrical concept here--the hypocrisy of Christianity in England--is stronger than on most other '70s conceptual efforts, but it's ultimately the music that makes it. Tull's winning way with a riff was never so arresting as on the chugging "Locomotive Breath," or the character studies "Cross Eyed Mary" and "Aqualung," which portray believably seedy participants in Ian Anderson's story. The fable imagery of "Mother Goose" and the vitriolic anti-authoritarian sentiments of "Wind Up" both serve notice of Anderson's willful iconoclasm and his disillusionment with the spiritual traditions to which he was born. Varied but cohesive, AQUALUNG is widely regarded as Tull's finest hour.
This LP is a 180 gram mono analogue reissue of the original. In other words, this pressing is the best that you are going to find in an audiophile format.

GRADING SCALE MINT (M) The record is brand new with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows signs of having been played but there is no negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG) The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G) The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have light pops and skip. The jacket may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits or discoloration. FAIR (F) The record is playable but was not properly cared for and plays with extensive surface noise overriding sound and may skip considerably. The jacket may be torn, stained or defaced. BAD (B) The record is unplayable and probably broken and is only of use as a collection filler. Grading may be fine tuned by adding + or -
