Cover: Unlaminated gatefold cover, printed and made by E.J Day, with the original ‘pop-up’ cut out feature inside. The front shows very little signs of wear. There is some light creasing at the bottom two corners on the back and a sticker-removal tear in the top right-corner (visible in photo), but no ringwear or seam-splits. There is some rubbing and wear on the spine, but the text is legible. The pop-up cut-out stands erect when the cover is opened, doesn’t have any bends or creases, and is stuck down firmly. Grades somewhere around VG+/EX-.
Inner Sleeve: Original white, thick polythene-lined inner sleeve with blue text. The sleeve has yellowed with age, but all seams are intact.
Labels: Original first press pink “eye”, textured labels, with a few spindle trails on both sides.
Vinyl: Original heavyweight vinyl pressing (172 grams). The vinyl looks near-mint under normal lighting, but under a halogen light I can see a few very fine hairlines and sleeve removal marks, none of which are sounding. Apart from a very soft tick that sounds for about four or five revolutions at the beginning of the third track on Side 2 (‘We Used To Know’) and a little bit of very light background crackle here and there, the sound is fantastic – strong, distortion-free sound with full frequencies. Grades as EX+ to M-.
Additional Info: All of the vinyl that I am selling is from my personal collection, and has been cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. After cleaning, I keep all of my records in ‘Mobile Fidelity’ rice paper inner sleeves and store them with the records outside of the covers in plastic, re-sealable protective sleeves.
