Description

Jethro Tull - Stand Up
This is the 1970 release of the album.  The original release was 1969, this one is the 3rd issue, with textured pink "i" labels and gatefold sleeve with pop-up of the artists inside.  Released on Island - Cat # ILPS 9103.
Visual and play graded to Goldmine Standard - Vinyl is VG, sleeve is VG.
Vinyl - Visually graded as VG.  Light, superficial looking marks only but it's lost a bit of it's shine so only VG.  I listened through a few parts of each side, focussing on intros/quiet parts and it actually plays much better than it looks.  Very light surface noise heard toward the start of side 1, the rest was crackle free and clear as a bell.  VG
Sleeve - General wear and ageing.  Edge wear, ring mark, sticker removal mark and writing top right corner of front cover.  Inside gatefold is excellent, pop-up works great. Original plain inner sleeve has writing and one side is split.  VG

About the seller:
I am a record collector myself and have been buying vinyl online since the 90's.  I started selling on Ebay a few months ago and have sold 40+ records so far with no complaints - please check my feedback. I am now selling a collection of around 400 LPs that I have inherited from a family friend that have been in storage for over 25 years.  They have been stored upright in a smoke free home for that time.
Grading:
I grade records using the "Goldmine Standard."  If you are not familiar with this you can google it and find details quite easily.  None of the records I am selling are Mint (unopened, unused) so will normally be NM, VG+ or VG. I give a separate grading for the vinyl and the sleeve.  I do not have time to listen to each record fully but after careful visual inspection I always listen to any parts that have marks that look like they will even slightly affect the sound. I always try to give as much information as possible and highlight in the photos any wear.  Basically the last thing I want is the buyer to have any surprises when receiving the record.
Postage & packing:
All records are sent in a polythene sleeve in a corrugated cardboard mailer and with stiffeners.  I normally post the next working day and always within two.  I do not make any profit from P&P - Once Ebay and Paypal have taken their percentage and I pay for the mailer, sleeve and the postage itself, I just about break even. If you wish to buy more than one record and combine the shipping, please contact me first so I can check the records fit into one mailer.  Then after you purchase I will send you an invoice with combined shipping costs before you pay.
Within UK:
To keep the cost to a minimum I use second class post. For records close to £50 it is slightly more expensive, for Royal Mail to cover up to that amount. For records above £50 it costs more as I use Special Delivery, also due to the value of the item.  If you would prefer any other service please contact me so I can arrange.
International:
The shipping prices quoted will be from the Ebay Global Shipping Programme, where they take care of the shipping outside of the UK.  I will usually be able to offer a cheaper service so please contact me so I can quote you and arrange my own international shipping.
Any questions, please ask!
