Description
This auction is for the Jethro Tull "Thick As A Brick" LP 1974 Chrysalis Label #CHR 1003. Rare UK import 1st edition pressing:
- Matrix / Runout (A-Side Runout, Stamped): CHR 1003 A-3U
- Matrix / Runout (A-Side Runout, Hand-etched): PORKY
- Matrix / Runout (B-Side Runout, Stamped): CHR 1003 B-2U
- Matrix / Runout (B-Side Runout, Hand-etched): PECKO
The album is in near mint condition with hardly any noise or marks. Beautiful, pristine...nice clean audiophile copy. It comes with the original newspaper in nice shape.
The gatefold/foldout album cover is very good+ condition with some light shelf/ring wear. No tears or splits. There is a sticker on the front cover. Comes with the original inner white inner sleeve with the patent No. & Made in England on the bottom.
It's been play tested and sounds great.
**This album is part of the estate of an audiophile collection of approx. 100 near mint to excellent condition classic rock albums I acquired recently. Mr. Adams kept almost every insert, poster and original inner sleeve. The records are immaculate with just a few light paper marks and that's it. I've never seen a collection with this much NM-EX+ vinyl. Mr. Adams was proud of his albums and unfortunately wrote his name on almost every one (mostly small letters on the back). I'll be listing these on this site and under our other user name redrobin1009. Collection includes Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, David Bowie, Dylan, The Band, ELO, Tull, Fleetwood Mac and many, many more.
