I am selling a small batch of original or early press Jethro Tull records.  None of the records are mint and some play better than others so please listen to the albums that interest you first before bidding.  The cover for 'Thick As A Brick' is still in very nice condition, it does suffer with the usual discoloration but the 'Crossword' and 'Childrens Corner' are not filled in and the pages are not torn (see photos).  Playback is overall excellent with just some light crackle in places.

UK release on Chrysalis records (CHR 1003) from 1972
1st press Chrysalis release with Island 'i' labels
1st press A-3U / B-2U matrix numbers
Large rough textured foldout newspaper cover
The labels are in excellent condition with some signs of spindle marks
Playback is superb with virtually no surface noise except some light crackle in places

Album cover grading (EX overall):
Front and back covers are still in excellent condition, scuffing, mild discoloration
Inner pages, yellowing (common discoloration with this cover), NO writing on 'Childrens Corner' and 'St. Cleve Crossword', NO tears
No writing on cover or labels
Light scuffing on edges of cover
Some scuffing to spine

Vinyl grading (Visually EX+ overall):
Side 1: EX+ (light scuffing/sleeve removal marks)
Side 2: EX+ (light scuffing/sleeve removal marks)

Matrix numbers (and runout groove markings):
Side 1: CHR 1003 A-3U             1           H           PORKY
Side 2: CHR 1003 B-2U             1           L           PECKO

Vinyl notes:
Both sides have been played on a Rega RP1 turntable with an Ortofon OM5E cartridge (tracking weight: 1.5g - 2.0g) and listened to on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones.

A-side:
Virtually no surface noise, excellent playback

B-side:
Virtually no surface noise, excellent playback

The records are sent in new good quality record mailers with 2 stiffeners.  The vinyl is always removed from the covers to avoid seam splits in transit.

I tend to be over critical of a records condition as it is not my intention to misrepresent what I am selling.  I want the buyer to feel what they have bought is as described although not everyones opinion of its condition will be the same as mine.  If you have any doubts or questions about this record, please ask me and I will try to be as helpful as I can.
