Artist: Jethro Tull - British rock group formed in 1967-1968 marked by the distinctive vocal style and lead flute work of front man Ian Anderson

Album: Thick As A Brick - the sleeve is a spoof of a twelve by sixteen inch (305 by 406 mm) local newspaper with stories, competitions, adverts, etc., lampooning the parochial and amateurish local journalism that still exists in many places today. The "newspaper" also includes the entire lyrics to the song, and references to the lyrics are scattered throughout the articles.

Sleeve: Newspaper textured gatefold sleeve is in very good condition, with some light storage wear and discoloration around the edges.

The records I am selling all form part of my late father's extensive collection and the item photographed is the one which will be sent to the winning bidder. I always take lots more photos than I list, particularly of the vinyl, so feel free to contact me to request more pictures, and I often also burn a copy direct from the vinyl for my own collection.

Payment
Payment must be made within seven days of the end of the auction unless agreed and I am always happy to hold items for multi-buyers and combine postage. UK bidders are welcome to pay by PayPal, personal cheque or postal order. Overseas bidders must pay by PayPal only. Non-EEC International bidders please note you may be liable to local import duty.

Returns

I want you to be happy with your record and I try my best to be honest and accurate with my descriptions so all records are described in accordance with Record Collector’s Grading system as follows:

MINT – sealed or unplayed

NEAR MINT – in brand new condition with no marks or deterioration in sound quality

EXCELLENT – shows some signs of having been played with slight wear

VERY GOOD – sleeve may have wear and tear and the vinyl may have noticeable marks 

                           or light scratches but no major deterioration

However if you are not satisfied that the record is in the condition described, I will happily take it back and refund the cost of the item upon return in exactly the same condition as it was shipped.

Postage Costs

For UK bidders, I've provided a number of postal options other than the basic free Second Class post service and there is no additional charge for shipping how ever many albums you buy.

Overseas Buyers please note that postage quoted is via International Signed For which provides tracking and priority handling by Royal Mail and only adds £3.50 to each parcel - so if you are multi-buying it becomes more cost effective - and Airsure, which is available to certain worldwide destinations, adds only £4.50 per parcel. As a guide postage for each additional single album within Europe will be £2.00 or £3.00 worldwide (doubles, triples and box sets will be more but singles and 12 inch singles will be less)

For overseas multibuyers who purchase more than 5 single albums (ie weight over 2kg) it may be necessary to dispatch in more than one parcel or alternatively I can offer shipping by Parcel Force. Please let me know when you have finished bidding and I will send you an invoice combining postage - otherwise PayPal will automatically add all the postage charges together!
I dispatch airmail (small packets) for destinations in Republic of Ireland only.

Dispatch

All albums are dispatched in strong cardboard boxes – not mailers or jiffys – to ensure that they reach you in optimum condition and I endeavour to post items within one working day of receiving payment – I pride myself on my quick shipping and wherever possible dispatch on the same day payment is received. Occasionally I am let down by the Royal Mail however expected delivery times following posting should be as follows:

First Class / Special Delivery – one working day

Second Class – three working days

Airmail (Western Europe) – three working days

Airmail (Eastern Europe) – four working days

Airmail (Rest of the World) – five working days

Postal Insurance and Compensation

Most Royal Mail services have a maximum compensation level of £39 however if your successful winning bid is more than this, I strongly recommend you opt for a service which offers increased compensation. If you opt for a service that offers less compensation than you have paid for your item and it goes missing or gets damaged, it will be your loss!

I always obtain retain proof of postage so in the event of an item being lost or damaged, I will make the appropriate claim for compensation, and will reimburse you if the claim is successful. If the item is damaged, you may have to return it to me, which you will have to do at your own expense, so that I can make the claim and reimburse you if the claim is successful.
