Green Chrysalis label format in NR MINT condition , with “i” top mid section of outer rim , confirming the very first UK pressing of this superb Tull album release. Very first press with 1/1 mother stampers on BOTH sides of the vinyl ! Hardly a spindle tarce visible on immaculate,1st issue labels.

Surfaces highly polished. Excellent sheen. In fact under ordinary light, only one surface mark visible .If angled against a strong halogen light, one can observe other light surface marks on both sides of the vinyl , mainly caused from sleeve brushing surfaces. Thick cut pressing. Stunning visual .

 

1st issue newspaper format , gatefold sleeve. NO rips, nor tears. Crossword and naked lady dot to dot  NOT joined-what pleasure for someone to join those together !!! Excellent sleeve with not much in the way of discoloration, nor damage. Spinal edge and other edges are all excellent with very little wear visible. Main part of newspaper remains white ,with yellowing of pages inside which was a deliberate coloration on these first issues to achieve visual ageing authenticity. On front face of album cover, towards top edge , some mild discoloration, but hardly noticeable. One of the best examples of this rare album cover .

 

Audio S1 Very good+/excellent-

 Some surface during intro/quieter parts of the music, then mostly excellent. Some dust still lifting from the grooves.

S2 Excellent with little to fault. The mark mentioned which is visible, may produce the faintest of ticks during the fade out of the music but is quite inobtrusive.

 

The best Tull album ever produced. Do not miss !
