Artist and Title: Jethro Tull / Too Old To Rock And Roll: To Young To Die / Cover
Label and number: Chrysalis CHR 1111
Cover grade: VG+ cover has staple tears in corners.  Creases on back and ball point pen mark on back.  Probably testing the pen?
Disc grade: No Disc

Gatefold cover.

The band signed this cover
when they visited the Peaches Record Store in Atlanta around July 29, 1976.  They played the Omni (which is gone) that night with Roy Gallager.
The cover was stapled to the wall of the store office until the store closed in 1983.  I worked there then and saved it and have kept it for all these years.

The signatures are in ball point pen on the empty cover.  This was kind of a tradition at the store. There were many covers done the same way.

We used to also ask artists to leave handprints in concrete that would be put out in front of the store like Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.  When the store closed they were all destroyed since they could not be pulled up and saved.

As far as I can tell the signees and their appellations are:
Hello Peaches Merry Christmas
Ian Anderson

[a joke since it was in July and very hot, I think]

To Peaches
Martin Barre

Best wishes
John Glascock

John Evan

David Palmer

Barriemore Barlow’s signature is missing.  Either he was sick or didn’t want to sign ….who knows.

Extremely rare memorabilia.  History.  Now it can be yours.

I will provide a printed history of the event with the cover.  Not exactly a COA but it is the best I can do for you.  Truth.

Thanks for looking.  I'm selling my LP collection on ebay.  I have been collecting LP's for thirty years.  Now it is your turn to collect these LP's.  I hope you enjoy them as I have!
This is a 33 1/3 rpm Long Playing Record.
I use conservative “Goldmine” grading standards.  I only rate discs NM that I know have not been played by me or anyone else.  I have to rate "promos"  that have covers that have cut corners, saw cuts or gold stamps as VG even though the covers are NM or sealed.  I note any additional condition problems in my descriptions.

I will gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases.
U.S. Media Mail is $4.00.  $1.00 for each additional LP.
U.S. Priority Mail is $6.65.  $2.00 for each additional LP.
Email me for other rates.
International shipping is calculated with $1.50 handling added.  Combined shipping orders should wait for an invoice before paying.
I ship using standard cardboard LP mailers and wrap the disc in foam sheets or double box shipment.
I try to ship within 3 business days after payment is received which should be no later than 7 days after winning the auction.
If you are not satisfied with the item, let me know within 7 days after receiving it.  You pay to ship it back and I refund your purchase price.
Email me with any questions.

        International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
