Description
Here is a great 1947 release on the Columbia label (Set C-144). Collection of performances by Bix Beiderbecke with Frankie Trumbauer and His Orchestra. Four-record folder includes Singin' the Blues b/w Clarinet Marmalade (C-144-1/2), Riverboat Shuffle b/w Ostrich Walk (C-144-3/4), Way Down Yonder in New Orleans b/w Wringin' and Twistin' (C-144-5/6), and Take Your Tomorrow b/w Baby, Won't You Please Come Home (C-144-7/8). Features rare Jim Flora cover art.
Condition - The sleeve folder shows light wear with light age staining and edge wear. The sleeve also has a slight musty smell from improper storage, but I am airing the sleeve out and it should improve before shiping. The jacket grades at a weak VG+. The records are shiny with hints of use. The records grade at about E-, some sides better, some sides a little worse.
Regarding shipping - I ship quickly using new professional grade materials.
Regarding grading - I try to grade by Goldmine standards. I do not use the grade Mint on unsealed opened records. The highest grade I give to unsealed records is Near Mint. Grading here is strictly by sight.
