Up for bid is a RARE OG copy of the Jim Jones and the Chaunteys vinyl record SOUL CLAP on the Sun Glow label from 1967
Cat # SLP-112
This is an original 1st pressing on the really cool Sun Glow label out of San Antonio, Texas. 45rpm are much easier to track down that 33rpm 12” albums.
Very scarce and extremely hard to find
Music is a raw blend of 60s Blue-eyed soul, Garage rock, R&B, Latin soul and Tex Mex Rock with prominent organ and a very DIY primitive vibe.
Never reissued (in album form or individual tracks) so the music cannot be found elsewhere to my knowledge. Very cool and scare LP.

CONDITION:
Vinyl: EX+ — Glossy and clean. Other than one small dimple (pressing imperfection between a pair of tracks) , it looks nearly unplayed. Grading conservatively at EX+ and I would say this is Near Mint except for that small pressing flaw. Plays great!
Jacket: VG+ — Strong seams and spine. Heavy card stock has held up well. Price sticker residue on front. No chipping or writing. Back cover is very clear. Please see photos.
Labels: Some small spots/stains on white labels. No writing whatsoever. Please see photos.
SHIPPING:
Will be shipped quickly and securely in a professional cardboard record mailer reinforced appropriately.
Jacket and record will be shipped in a poly sleeve and vinyl will be shipped outside the jacket to prevent seams splits. Vinyl will be shipped in a Mofi sleeve for protection.
Will ship via USPS Media Mail unless buyer prefers another method. Winner can message me with any shipping requests.
RETURNS:
Because of the possibility of damage in return shipping, I cannot accept returns under any circumstances. This is a rare record for collectors of garage, psychedelic rock, 1960s and oddities and I don't want to deal with a return which contains something other than the LP listed and don't want to chance damage if the return is not properly packed for shipping.
