Description

Jim Reeves Sings, Abbott LP 5001,  mono LP from 1956.  According to Tim Neely in the 2001 2nd edition Goldmine Country & Western Record Price Guide, p.384 "Not including Elvis Presley rarities, Jim Reeves Sings, his only album for the Abbott label, is the most valuable country record."

Cover condition is VG++.  There are no pencil or ink marks anywhere but there a couple faint scratches on the front cover that do not break the paper surface.  The cardboard is crisp, but the upper right and lower right corners are slightly bent.  The top seam is perfect, the spine is perfect, the bottom seam had a 2 inch seam split in the center which has been professionally repaired and no longer noticeable.

Vinyl is VG+ from a visual standpoint.  From an audio perspective may be less, there are some audible clicks and short but not deep scratches. There are spindle marks on both labels which look worse in the photos than they actually are.  I think the label paper is just especially sensitive.

I can email additional pictures, if necessary, but my camera isn't that great.  For this record only I have excluded some countries from the bidding, because of my own experiences in shipping to those countries.  I do not mean to impugn citizens of those countries.

This auction will go all the way to the end--I will not listen to offers to end it early.
This item will be sold AS IS, with no returns accepted.  It has been described adequately and there should be no surprises.

Let's see what this record is really worth in today's market!
