Description
EXTREMELY RARE AND LIMITED 2 LP TRIBUTE TO THE LATE JIM SHEPARD, UNDERGROUND OHIO LEGEND OF V-3 and VERTICAL SLIT FAME. Two separate LP's that were released together as one 2 LP set in 2000 by Jim's close friends Charles Cicirella and Chris Loper. This was so limited that they didn't even use a label name! It was distributed in Ohio (mainly Columbus) and made it to a couple of distributors but disappeared quickly after release. Not only does the album contain a lot of Jim Shepard's own work ("Tabernacle Moneygun" and previously unreleased recordings by his project, Clown Surgery) it features Shepard covers done by ROBERT POLLARD (he covers Shepard's beautiful "Bristol Girl", Don Howland (Bassholes, Gibson Bros.), Ron House, Mike Rep (of the Quotas), Tommy Jay, Nudge Squidfish, Cloud Tiger, Moviola, Susan Walsh, Stacie McCloud, and Martha Knox among others. One LP is on white vinyl and the other on black. COMES WITH HANDWRITTEN LINER NOTES BY RON HOUSE and another insert detailing exactly what track is what. MINT, UNPLAYED CONDITION. YOU WILL NOT SEE ANOTHER ONE OF THESE, POSSIBLY EVER!!
