Hello record collectors and vinyl junkies...It's time let go of some of my hoard...so I'll be listing a bunch of LPs and singles over the next few months so stay tuned!

Anyway, let's continue with this one by Jim and Tammy Bakker and Their Friends Songs and Stories released by Hymntone Records in 1969 (CM 7228 Monophonic)

Ok, so I'll be honest about this one...it is a absolutely terrifying listen which is guaranteed to frighten your children, turn your friends against you or empty your house if the party is running too late. On these recordings Jim and Tammy Faye provide the voices for their puppets, Susie Moppet, Allie the Alligator and Muffin the Talking Dog. Side one contains ten short songs and side two has two stories as performed by Jim, Tammy and the whole gang. The Goss Brothers provide backing vocals and Vic Clay is heard on guitar.

From the liner notes: (written by one of the puppets, just to add to the weirdness of the complete package)

You think this is Jim and Tammy's record, but it's not really. I made most of it. I'm Susie Moppet and Jim and Tammy are my friends. We're on television, in color, too. And for a whole hour, six nights a week, we sing and tell stories for the boys and girls around Norfolk, Virginia. But I was so sad that I couldn't sing to the boys and girls who live far away that when Jim and Tammy said we were going to make a record, it made me so happy. I sing ten songs for you, and all of us, including my friend Allie, the talking alligator, and Muffin, the talking dog, join in to tell two old stories in a new way. We had lots of musical help from the Goss Brothers and Vic Clay. They played their instruments so I could sing. We all hope you like what we put on the record for you.

The record has a few light marks that are visible under a bright spotlight and cause an occasional minor bit of surface noise when played. The cover has very light wear but no seam splits, writing, rips, tears or other flaws. 

I grade on a stricter scale than Goldmine (at least the watered down version that seems to exist here on eBay) I will take the time to describe any flaws on both the cover and record itself rather than give a letter grade that will mean something different to seemingly every record buyer and seller.

I am a very picky record collector and have been let down many times buying a record that was graded VG++ or NM here on eBay and other mail order services that were pretty beat up...and I'm sure that has happened to you too!

Due to overwhelming requests, I generally ship domestic packages by Media Mail. However, please keep in mind that while Media Mail is the cheapest shipping method, it is also the slowest. Media Mail can take several weeks or MORE to arrive. Media Mail shipping within the United States is $4.00 including mandatory Delivery Confirmation.

I do combine shipping for multiple purchases. The $4.00 covers between one and two albums. Additional albums (three and up) are an additional .50 cents each. Please wait for an invoice from me as the Paypal system does not calculate the combined shipping.

Overseas shipping is by Air Mail only. Shipping for one LP to Canada is $15.50 and everywhere else in the world is $23.00. Overseas shipping is by regular air mail and can take anywhere from one to four weeks to arrive. I do combine shipping on overseas purchases - I will send an invoice with the combined shipping cost if you purchase more than one LP.

Sorry I no longer ship to Italy or the Russian Federation due to the high number of "lost" packages.

All records are mailed in cardboard record mailers with cardboard inserts to prevent damage. LP will be removed from the cover to prevent seam splits while in transit.
