On offer here is an INCREDIBLY rare LP by The Jimi Hendrix Experience "Are You Experienced" to begin with,it is an ORIGINAL 1967 UK MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st PressTrack label –which is rare enough – but what makes this version stand out is that it is LAMINATED ON BOTH SIDES!!!
A number first pressings of this legendary LP had the front cover laminated but only a handful (under 50) were laminated on both sides – in FORTY YEARS of collecting Hendrix I have only seen this come up for sale once before!
This is the Holy Grail for all Hendrix collectors and I will say here and now that this is an opportunity that will not present itself again on this site.
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1967 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE TRACK LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MONO MATRIXES, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'E.J.DAY' PATENTS PENDING' MONO COVER
The record labels are in Good++ condition with NO writing. Both front and back covers are in even better shape – no writing etc and both in Excellent + condition, especially the uniquely rare laminated back cover.
The LP has been well played, of that there is no doubt. There are plenty of light surface scratches on both sides but I played it last night and it still sounds fantastic – no jumps,etc. Getting a mint condition, double laminated AYE is impossible, surely, but if a copy was to be found it would cost several thousand pounds.
Overall, this is in astonishing piece – it’s the cover that really matters and I repeat that this is just so good – the pictures don’t do it justice. There are 4 unimportant crease marks but these are trivial in the context of the overall excellent condition. The spine is PERFECT.
A reasonable opening bid is required but no Reserve so don’t miss out on this outstanding opportunity to obtain the RAREST Jimi Hendrix LP EVER!!!
