Description

An original summer '67 1st press of AUE on UK Track. A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. We also have an original Inner sleeve date coded to Summer 1967 [087]. The inner sleeve also has the track listing typed out [old style!] on one side. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In really nice condition despite a moderate level of use. Ok, there's a quite a few marks each side, but I've fully inspected it...it's ALL pretty low-level type stuff. Nothing heavy that's going to cause issue.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. At this level this classic Hendrix title is TOTALLY enjoyable and highly addictive. It's not clean enough to hit the top grades - but it delivers detail and energy. This pressing is superb. Expect a bit of light static to be noticeable in some of the quieter moments [e.g. Red House]. Overall, I'd say it is a superb copy. Nothing upfront or noticeable re background static. ALL low-key in the mix. This classic LP is fully appreciable from this 1st copy. Love it! Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+ ) Not bad at all. These '67 covers usually surface looking a right old state. But someone's been pretty careful. That front is looking real good with a few thumbnail creases over toward the opening. The rear can often look awful, but this example is tidy. Yes, there some evidence of ageing at the extremities. There's an inscription top right and a couple of stains. But overall - very nice. The spine is almost fully intact. I can tell you - this is very unusual. The text is pretty much 100% legible still. Edge wear is pretty light for this title and the openings still nice and firm. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Bit aged. With a few tears. I like it due to it proving authenticity. We'll ship in another inner for maximum protection.
