Description
If you collect classic Rock & Roll, here is one of the Holy Grails of Jimi Hendrix collectible LPs. This is "Are You Experienced" (Reprise label R-6261) MONO released in 1967. Check your Goldmine price guide and you will see that Jimi Hendrix MONO LP’s are the ones that are the high dollar LP’s (aside from the promos) and increase in value with each price guide issued. I consider this LP his absolute best LP with a line up of tunes that included "Purple Haze", "Foxey Lady", "The Wind Cries Mary", "Are You Experienced", "Hey Joe" and more!! This LP is the original 1967 Reprise release of this LP not only in MONO but also on the green, pink and brown Reprise label. Now for condition: The cover is graded VG and shows overall wear. There is corner wear (bald corners), a couple of 2-inch seams splits (repaired) and flaking and cracking on the spine (also somewhat repaired). Rear cover is shows overall wear. "Mono" is clearly noted on the cover. I’ve seen only a few of these over the years and auctioned one in September. The vinyl is also graded VG. There are scuffs and hairlines. Labels are notably clean with practically no wear aside from the initials "B.B" on side 1 as you can see in the images. "MONO" is clearly printed on the labels. Now is your opportunity to have a great Jimi Hendrix MONO LP that has become increasingly hard to find!! FYI, I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to visually grade the LP’s I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
