EXTREMELY RARE FIRST UK PRESS of Hendrix’ very first album release.

 

A1/ B1 EARLIEST matrices !!!!!

 

612001 in very SCARCE MONO .

 

Becoming impossible to find now.

 

Released in 1967.

 

Black Track labels in excellent condition.

 

 

Audio

The unique wide channels of the vinyl operate in fine style enabling the guitar riffs to echo with chilling vibrancy. Tones are quite astonishing. Some light static build in places but mostly clear channels. The mono perspective delivers with a pinpoint definition but with a razor sharp edge.Sometimes the channels are clear enough to hear the feedback of the microphones echo . Incredible aural delivery. I kid you not-at least a very good audio and I am not over grading in any way ! Fantastic aural delivery from the earliest Hendrix release.AND the rarest MONO recording, almost impossible to find in this wonderful condition. Just a few solitary pops and only the slightest of static which does not interfere with the sensational musical presentation. Heard well into the distance as tones are projected away from any interference. Surface noise minimal !!!

 

Vinyl thick heavyweight press. Four surface marks detected under ordinary light.These are where the sleeve has brushed the surface,one covers the length of three tracks.Very superficial but are visible if angled against the light. Non audible .Beautiful polished surfaces with a mirror like sheen.Excellent visual appearance.

 

Earliest sleeve first issue without name on front face. Ernest Day printed and laminated on front cover ! Vertical crease along spinal column.Some damage on front face as sellotaped edges resulting in sticky surfaces and slight damage to outer edge. Heavily taped on top left corner probably owing to damage of surface area.  Reverse in superb condition with no tears or rips.Just the slightest of surface damage in three places .Good sleeve.

 

Phenomenal 1st MONO album from Jimi Hendrix. A superb copy of a very difficult album to locate .

 

Becoming rarer as each day passes.
