Jimi Hendrix was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. As a guitar hero, he changed everything. "Jimi Hendrix At His Best" Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3. Taken from little known New York jam sessions of 1964. Vol. 1 (1972), SAGA Records #6313. This is a jam session without his usual pedal-powered box of tricks. The recordings are low in voltage and relaxed in tone. Casual jamming has it's own appeal. Glad it did not remain private. Vol. 2 (1972), SAGA Records #6314. It sounds like a 1964 lineage. Examples of Jimi playing without any effects. The jams are very loose as of yet un-famous Hendrix having fun jamming with some friends. Super hard-core devotee of Hendrix will enjoy. Vol. 3 (1972), SAGA Records #6315. A flute-player musician has joined the party on a few tracks, and the electric harpsichord gets a better showcase on this volume. The tempo accelerates and the guitarwork becomes more prominent and heavier Hendrix style. As loose jam sessions go, this is pretty special. ALL THREE covers are in near mint condition (Vol.1 has a bubble crease, see photo). The vinyl are in near mint condition. SAGA Records, STEREO, 3-LP's, no barcodes. Thank you for looking.
