The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Axis Bold as Love. Genuine 1967 UK 1st pressing in STEREO on the Track Record label. Dates to the initial release date of 1st December 1967.
An ultra rare UK 1st pressing with the 613003 A1/B1 matrices, which has received only a handful of plays in its 49 year history.
Recorded at the famous Olympic Studios in London between May and June 1967.
One of Hendrix’s finest albums if not his finest, with classic tracks such as Little Wing, If Six Were Nine & Bold As Love.
With a name like James Marshall Hendrix this genius guitar player was always destined to become a rock’n’roll icon. Although much has been said about his guitar playing, his talent for writing great songs often gets overlooked; this classic album showcases some of his finest songs.
Copies of Axis Bold as Love, especially in STEREO, rarely turn up in this wonderful condition.

Visual: EXC+to MINT-
A superb and fresh looking disc which still retains a beautiful undulled high gloss sheen; so very difficult to find an early Hendrix pressing in this condition. The vinyl appears virtually mint in strong daylight, on close inspection in daylight I noticed a light surface mark on track one side one and an ultra faint surface mark on side two. Under an unforgiving halogen desklight there are some ultra faint hairlines and whispy sleeve removal marks. The vinyl grades somewhere between excellent+ and nr mint. The vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Audio: EXCELLENT+
Superb undistorted analogue sound with absolutely no groovewear to any of the music signals. There is a couple of light ticks at the end of track two and some low level surface noise at high volume on some of the quieter passages but overall it is a great listening experience with rich, crystal clear analogue sound.

EXCELLENT+
A superb example of this original 1967 E J Day cover. The sleeve retains its original high gloss sheen with the laminate completely unworn. There is some light storage wear to the ends of the spine and some light wear to one corner of the sleeve but other than this very little to fault. The inner gatefold is in superb condition and the spine remains uncrushed and perfectly straight. Remarkably, there is not a single thumbnail crease to any part of the cover. A fine example of this psychedelic classic and virtually impossible to find in this condition.
